FuenteFair
An Interactive Celebration of Writing and Other Arts
Join us for an interactive celebration featuring work across art forms by past FuenteCo participants, get a sneak peek of what we have in store for Houston's creative community in the coming year, and get to know our FuenteCo team and regulars.
FuenteCo is turning one, and for our anniversary we want to celebrate YOU: Houston's creative community of writers and artists of all forms, genres, and styles. We warmly invite you into our brand new headquarters, the Passporte Space at Spring Street Studios. Explore (and participate in!) our interactive pop-up fair, get to know the FuenteCo team over cake, drinks, and snacks, and enter our anniversary contest for a chance to win a free membership, as the celebration also marks the launch of our new membership program, with exclusive perks for first-day signups. Don't miss it!
In the evening hours, we're proud to showcase a selection of multidisciplinary, multilingual work created by past FuenteCo participants during our workshops and retreats, including flash fiction by writer Patricia Flaherty Pagan, a poetry installation by Megan Sparks, and a dramatic monologue by Jelisa Jay Robinson. The winners of our Bad Love Poetry Contest—Reyes Ramirez, Sofia Morffe, and Eloísa Pérez-Lozano—will be there to read their winning pieces, too.
Experimentation, Collaboration, and Hybridity in Writing and Other Arts are at the center of what FuenteCo stands for. We hope to see you at FuenteFair to celebrating rule-bending, boundary-breaking, wild creativity.
