what is the Fuenteco youth studio summer 2017 retreat?

This nature-inspired retreat is designed to encourage mindfulness in creative self-expression. Participants will reach deep inside, exploring thoughts, memories, and experiences to spur their creativity and add depth and dynamic dimensions to their writing and art.

Often young creators are held back by structure and rules. This retreat will give them a chance to stretch and loosen their creative muscles, trusting their instincts to create freely.

Participants will engage in a variety of multisensory exercises to encourage divergent thinking, develop techniques to break out of creative ruts in the future, and emerge with many starting points for launching bigger projects.

dear young creators:

Would you like to be able to come up with new stories, characters and inspirational ideas whenever you want to? Come explore with us!

We’ll go beyond rules and into wild, creative territory. You might think like a bird, or a rock, or your best friend--or your worst enemy! You’ll explore your own inner landscape and experience how your memories, and your relationships can be food for your creative soul.

Whatever you do, you’ll come out of the day with lots of new ideas, and a chance to share your creations if you want to.
