Fotografía y las alegrías de la poesía visual
Sobre la memoria, Ted Kooser escribe que a veces pensamos en "algún objeto o evento del pasado, tal vez un reloj en la cocina de tu abuela, y de repente, parte de tu memoria se abre como una pequeña puerta y puedes ver todo tipo de detalles." Con esto en mente, discutiremos fotos personales que nos ayudarán a abrir esa "pequeña puerta," para que podamos captar la memoria, ver todos los detalles evocados y generar el lenguaje para escribir sobre lo que descubrimos. También utilizaremos nuestras exploraciones de fotografía y escritura para generar ejemplos de poesía visual.
Este será un taller generativo. Vamos a discutir, escribir, y compartir.

Octavio Quintanilla es el autor de la colección de poemas, If I Go Missing (Slough Press, 2014) y el Poeta Laureado de San Antonio, TX 2018-2020. Su poesía, ficción, traducciones y fotografías han sido publicadas o están por publicarse en revistas como Salamander, RHINO, Alaska Quarterly Review, Pilgrimage, Green Mountains Review, Southwestern American Literature, The Texas Observer, Existere: A Journal of Art & Literature, y otras.
